Mazen Rimawi is the General Manager of Chicago Muay Thai and has been training at the gym since 2012. With more than a decade of experience as both a fighter and instructor, he is passionate about helping students develop strong fundamentals, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for Muay Thai. A seasoned competitor, Mazen is the 2019 Revgear Tournament of Champions Welterweight Champion and has competed extensively throughout his career under organizations such as the World Muay Thai Organization (WMO) and the United States Muay Thai Open (USMTO). Committed to continuous growth as a martial artist, Mazen has trained and studied Muay Thai around the world. In addition to extensive training throughout Thailand at renowned camps including Dragon Muay Thai, Tiger Muay Thai, Bangtao Muay Thai, and Elite Fight Club, he has also trained in Morocco, Greece, and Turkey. These experiences have allowed him to learn from a wide range of coaches, fighters, and training philosophies while continuing to refine his craft. Known for his high-energy classes and engaging coaching style, Mazen creates an environment that is both challenging and welcoming. His approach is heavily influenced by the Muay Femur style, emphasizing timing, balance, precision, and intelligent technique. Whether working with complete beginners or experienced competitors, his goal is to help every student build confidence, develop real skill, and enjoy the lifelong journey of Muay Thai.
